The B&B has a photovoltaic system on the roof so as not to occupy precious space on the soil which satisfies the Energy need of the business.
From spring to autumn water is warmed up with solar panels while in the winter two fireplaces take care of it.
Through them water in the radiators is heated.
The wood used comes from authorized cuts made in the property of about 6 hectares or is collected directly from the ground.
The walls are thick and furnished with an external coat: guests are cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
The roof is ventilated. The structure is relatively new and the owners are working to start a multifunctional farm business.
Olive oil is produced and soon aromatic and dyeing plants will be cultivated and inserted in the instructional itinerary.
In the woods, small paths are been created by the owners to show to their guests the ecology of the area or simply to offer the possibility of taking a relaxing walk.
Sunsets are amazing during all seasons. In the spring, a day to collect wild herbs is organized and various activities depending on the period of the year are organized.
The owner has a degree in natural and forestry science. Tastings of traditional and modern local delicacies are organized.
Trekking in the nearby parks – Conero and Sibillini – is arranged in cooperation with professional guides.
Based on their deep knowledge of the territory and upon request, the owners support the guests in the organization of their stay.
Bicycles are free and a shuttle service is available.
The B&B La Collina Dorata is a small villa recently restored – in 2012 – nestled in the hills of Offagna, province of Ancona.
It is built on 3 floors and in one of these there are three bedrooms and a small living room with pc, couch, a fireplace and informative materials for the guests.
On the first floor there is a large kitchen with dining room for breakfast and tastings of local products upon request and based on the season.
The three double bedrooms all have private bathrooms and there is the possibility to add single beds.
The bedrooms have a balcony or garden and a panoramic view of the hills.
The B&B is in Offagna, a small town known for its beautiful castle.
Nearby are Osimo, Sirolo, Numana, Ancona, Camerano, Loreto, Castelfidardo, Jesi. And also Portonovo, Sirolo, the natural park of the Riviera del Conero with breathtaking views. Porto Recanati is 15 minutes by car and Senigallia is 30. One hour by car is the National Park of Sibillini Mountains with its unique views and itineraries.
Food and wine itineraries are also relevant: the land of Rosso Conero, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, Rosso Piceno, Verdicchio di Matelica.
There are wonderful hills where mediaeval villages are nestled.
The whole area around the B&B is known for its historical commemoration and medieval festivals organized during the summer.
In the spring and autumn there is no lack of festivals dedicated to food and wine.
Prices are the same for both tourist seasons: 30€ for adults and 15€ for children between 6 and 14 years old.
Children under six are free.
For a single use of a double room the cost is 45€ per night.
Included in the price are breakfast, Wifi connection and LAN in the room.
