Terrazzo sul Sinni  is part of a farm business that has been managed with organic methods since 1998.
Apricots, citrus, cherries, olive trees, kiwis and cereals are all grown here.
Upon their arrival, guests are welcomed by a family member who will do their best to satisfy requests and needs.
For small groups, with a minimum of 15 people, classes on how to produce jam, preserve olives in brine and making bread are organized.
The restaurant, thanks to its KM0 products, offers organic cooking and vegetarian and vegan menus.
Educational farm activities are also available: the farm business obtained its recognition through the accreditation issued by the learning farms from Basilicata region network.
Some of the offers are: “from wheat grain to flour”, “let’s cultivate a vegetable garden”, “picking fruit in season” and “find the leaves”.


The farmhouse “Il Terrazzo sul Sinni” is located in the countryside, in Rotondella privince of Matera.
It is 30 minutes from Mount Pollino and 10 minutes from a wood that became WWF oasis and from Ionian sea.
The business grants maximum tranquility.
By staying at Il Terrazzo sul Sinni it is possible to come in contact with old traditions, with the simplicity of the territory and with the genuineness of products.
The farmhouse is located next to the main building and it is formed by 4 cozy apartments, furnished in the rural style of the area.
Available to the guests are: a restaurant, a learning room, a five –a-side football pitch and a playground.

Mrs. Carmela offers her guests dishes she prepares, amongst which are bread and pasta.
For breakfast she proposes homemade sweets such as: ring shaped cakes, pies and jams.
The typical menu for both lunch and dinner is between 20 and 25 Euros.
Aglianico wine is offered to the guests.

By starting at the bottom and reaching the top, guests will be able to reach the historical center of Rotondella characterized by its spiral architecture.
From the very top it is possible to enjoy a beautiful scenic view, suggestive of the town’s nickname of “Ionio’s Terrace”.
Not far away, it is possible to visit the Sassi of Matera, the towns of Tursi and Valsinni.
The Ionian sea is not far.
For mountain lovers there is the Pollino massif with several paths for hiking.
For art and archeology lovers to be visited the archeological sites of Heraclea.
The farmhouse is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the ancient Magna Grecia (Great Greece).

The four apartments - Pear Tree, Mulberry, Olive Tree and Kiwi – cost 55€ per night in high season and 45€ during low season.
Included in the price: TV in the bedroom, working kitchen; air conditioning and internet access. It is also possible to rent bikes.
