Polisena born from the renovation of an old monastic farmhouse, located among the vineyards of the hills of Bergamo.
Polisena is the only farmhouse to have received the exclusive certification KlimaHotel for the exclusive use of renewable energy sources, caring for the environment and its biodiversity and the use of organic products.
Polisena is home of the farm Tosca, producing organic wines since 2006.
Throughout the year it is organized tastings, parties and meetings on the issue of territory, of eating and living well.
In October, Polisena hosts Adda's Wine, food and wine fair which gathers wine realities and beyond, scattered along the course of the Adda, from Valtellina to the Oltrepò Pavese.
Free for holders of Slow Tourism Passport a bottle of organic wine Doc, to choice between white or red wine produced in the company.
As an alternative to wine, a jar of acacia honey or millefiori of local bee hives.
At the farmhouse Polisena there is the family Locatelli ready to welcome you. Firstly, Mrs. Tosca and Mr. Marco respectively occupied in the management of the rooms and the restaurant and in the management of the vineyards and animals.
There are also their sons, Francesco the chef, Romildo and Mainardo in the room, Giada and Cristiana at the breakfast area and at reception.
Polisena is situated 600 meters above sea level, nestled in the vineyards of the hills of Pontida, Bergamo.
In environments of the ancient monastic property, it’s possible to find the organic restaurant and rooms for tastings, four Eco Junior Suite and a panoramic Eco Suite with private Turkish bath.
The rooms, decorated in a fine and elegant way, with the use of pinewood, are equipped with bio switches for reducing nighttime tension, to give peace of mind and restaurateurs.
Available to all guests, there is a panoramic spa with sauna, Turkish bath, experience showers and massage room.
To complete the offer, a meeting room on the first floor, with natural light.
Outside it’s possible to relax and spend time on the roof terrace.
For the little ones there is a games room with tennis table and football fields and a soccer field or volleyball field in the middle of the woods.
The kitchens uses exclusively organic products from greenhouses and farms by the company, or from other small biological realities of the territory.
The rich buffet breakfast is the best way to start the day.
Cheeses and meats, fresh fruit and seasonal vegetables, cakes and homemade bread, accompanied by juice, cappuccino, cafe latte.
The restaurant serves modern and light versions of traditional dishes of the Bergamo area.
Everything is done in house, first the bread and fresh pasta, the vegetables come from the garden, as well as the eggs of our chickens and meat of our lambs.
The menu is always available on the website, it’s available a menu and the price varies depending on the number of courses of free choice (2 courses €25; 3 courses €33; 4-course €38).
In the heart of Lombardia, Polisena is the ideal place from which to visit the major cities and lakes of Lombardia.
For those who love the tranquility of the woods and mountains, from Polisena start a series of routes through the Val San Martino, travelling on foot or by bicycle.

The rooms for guests are 4, furnished with care and refined use of natural materials (wood leather- biological tissue) with clean and minimalist lines.
The prices are around 90 to 120 Euros at most and will vary depending on length of stay and other conditions.
Children under 14 years pay €25 with a third bed to be added in the room with parents (1 child in Junior Suite; up to 2 in Suite). From 0 to 2 years it’s €15 per cot.
Pets of small/medium size and educated to stay indoors are welcome for an additional €15
