Le Capanne

Well Done

Francesca and her family manage the organic farmhouse Le Capanne with passion, which for nearly three decades receives travelers in the farm family, converted in a farmhouse.
Le Capanne, without giving up comfort, maintains the tradition of the campaign of the past, including vegetable garden and farm animals.
Guests are greeted with a welcome basket with organic and biodynamic products of the garden;
the apartments are furnished with family furniture recovered and restored to counter any wastage; the bedding is almost exclusively in organic cotton or natural materials; the lighting is LED.
It is practices waste collection door to door and guests are encouraged to cooperate actively, for example by throwing the fruit and vegetable scraps to the chickens.
The farm's website is hosted on a web farm’s server solar-powered.
Francesca has designed the "eco-formulas" to ensure that traveling becomes lighter, both ecologically and economically, offering a discount to those who, stopping only a few nights, want to bring your own bedding and thereby helping reduce the number of washes (“biancheria autogestita”).
Also for those who asks not to iron the apartment’s linen, privileging the substance to the form (“stiro bandito”).
Finally, for those who ask to use only biodegradable detergents for washing of linens provided (ecobucato).
In the farmhouse Le Capanne there are courses, meetings and screenings of films on sustainability issues.
For travelers with Slow Tourism Passport there is a discount of 10% off the stay.
