At the Bio Agriturismo Il Cerreto owners Carlo and Paola organize for its customers cooking courses, vegetarian and vegan bakery, edible wild herbs (in the spring), homeopathy.
The supported agriculture on the farm is biodynamic and organic farming.
For tourists with Slow Tourism Passport is reserved a discount of 10% off the stay.
Usually at the customers is given a box homage with fresh garden vegetables, pasta and tomato sauce of own production.


To manage the Bio Farm Il Cerreto since 1998, there are Carlo and Paola when they moved to Tuscany, from Milan, along with their three children.
Their eyes turned towards the small village purchased years earlier by Carlo’s father: a space completely dominated by the forms of nature.
Thus it was born The Cerreto, an organic farm that stretches for 370 hectares in the Tuscan hills.
The buildings have been restored following the principles of green building.
The structure is an old tower of 1700, around which were built in later two groups of farmhouses.
Guests have 7 apartments and 5 double rooms with bathrooms.
Six apartments are located in the main house, next to the tower, while another is located in the building that was once a school house.
The hotel also features a restaurant, a common room with TV and a room for conferences and seminars.
The organic restaurant offers vegetarian cuisine based mainly on own-production of products.
In the summer at disposition to the guests there is the "bio-lake", a natural pool with a special system of constructed wetlands that do not require chemicals.

The cuisine is natural, 100% organic certified ABICert.
There are used mainly raw materials produced in company to offer simple foods.
At breakfast is provided a buffet, ranging from fresh fruit to homemade bread, cakes, biscuits, local cheese and much more.
At lunch there are spelled salads enriched with vegetables and legumes.
A 4-course dinner is served at a cost of about 25€.
The dishes are all made of the house and cooked on the spot.
The main dishes are pappa al pomodoro, ribollita, casseroles of zucchini and ricotta and grandmother’s cakes.
The wine offered is organic certified.

Bio farm "Il Cerreto" is isolated, in the Tuscan hills, not far from the artistic city of Volterra.
In addition to this, there are also near Larderello at 15 km, unique for its scenery and world famous for its 'geysers' and for geothermal energy (production of electricity from endogenous steam).
Also there are cities as Pisa, Siena, but also the sea, the Etruscan Coast, San Vincenzo, Populonia and Baratti that are around 40 km away.
To visit also San Gimignano.

The cost of apartments in low season ranging from 550€ to 850€; mid-season from 600€ to 1,000€; high season from 800€ up to 1200€ euro.
Each extra bed is 100 euro more; while the breakfast cost 10€ for adults and €5 for children.
The single room with bathroom and breakfast costs 50€ in low season; 55€ in middle season; 60€ in high season.
The master bedroom with bathroom and breakfast costs 80€in low season; 90€ in middle season; 100€ in high season.
Each extra bed plus breakfast costs 25€.
Included in the price are: water and electricity; gas for cooking; bed linen, bathroom and kitchen; weekly linen change; Cot on request; Wi-Fi; heating during the winter; final cleaning.
