Cascina Faletta

Well Done

The restructuring of Cascina Faletta was made according to criteria of green building, trying to make the most of the existing materials (stone from Canton, red bricks, terracotta floors, wooden beams, stone steps) and using new materials such as silicate of natural calcium, excellent thermal insulator to the outer coat, the colors in natural lime for painting, wood for frames.
The structure is equipped with photovoltaics panels for the production of electrical energy that is used for lighting (with LED lamps) and the power supply of the electrical equipment and for the operation of heat pumps with geothermal probes in the soil which allow warm in winter and cool in summer with zero CO2 emissions.
The solar panels allow the production of hot water.
The pool is salt water because it exploits the electrolysis of the salt, which is cleaved into particles of chlorine and sodium, which are recomposed in the tank under the action of the solar rays recomposing sodium chloride.
The whole structure is controlled by home automation.
The farmhouse produces wine, starting from the cultivation of grapes for which it was requested an organic certification.
As a welcome gift for guests in possession of Slow Tourism Passport, there is a small aperitif.
