The owners organize collection and preliminary knowledge of fruit and vegetables from their organic garden, also there are cooking classes.
There is a blueberry field. Production of jams and patisserie. Production of hay for livestock use.

Cascina Borgofrancone is a family farm. The property is located in the town of Gera Lario (CO) close to the Valtellina, and is easily accessible from the main highways (100 km from Milan, 70 km from Como, 40 km from Lecco/Sondrio).
Cascina Borgofrancone, inside the Natural Reserve Pian di Spagna, is an old restored farmhouse, nestled in green countryside on the banks of Lake Como, where a pleasant climate allows continuous opening for the whole year.
The estate covers 30 hectares, 27 of which are of nature on the shores of the lake. Apartments and rooms:

For example, the Cultivation of fruits and organic vegetables is certified by Bioagricert and are used biological eggs Uovadiselva from the farmhouse La Gramola.
There is also a selction of local cheeses and meats. Red and white wines from the cellar of biodynamic territory, Mamete Prevostini.
Coffee 'Verdadero' SpecialCoffee is Rainforest certified, fair-trade and sustainable.
There is available Bio apricot jam, blueberry jam, cherry jam, kiwi jam, plums jam, tangerines jam.
From the blueberry field there are organic blueberries, bio cranberries vacuum for long preservation, miascia cake (specialty of Lario).
To visit in the surrounding of the Lake Como there are the temple of St. Fedelino, between the plain of Valchiavenna and the Natural Oasi of Pian di Spagna and Lake Mezzola.
Also the Abbey of Piona, Fort Montecchio (Colico up Lario), Fort Fuentes on the hill of Montecchio, Orrido near Bellano, castle of Vezio (Perledo) and Villa Monastero (Varenna).
In Valtellina it’s worth to pay a visit to Morbegno, Val Masino and Sondrio.
In Valchiavenna it’s worth to pay a visit to Chiavenna, Borgonuovo – Fraggias Waterfalls, Prosto Piuro - Palazzo Vertemate Franchi.
There are also time for Sport and leisure: bird watching, kite surfing, windsurfing, canoeing, hiking, tennis, horseback riding, canyoning, biking, hiking.
