Casale Poggio del Tiglio is a 800’s Residence of historical and cultural interest, protected by the regulations of Cultural Heritage.
The farmhouse is managed by Valentina and her family and is situated at the foot of the mountain in the area of Viagrande, easily accessible, surrounded by unspoilt nature, in the Etna Park and just minutes from the sea.
The hotel has 9 rooms all decorated in fine 800 Sicilian style, air-conditioned, with private bathroom. Each room has a typical name of the place:
Il Palmento: The room is derived from the ancient room of the squeezing, it has a private terrace with a central old cistern.
La Magnolia: The love for horses, who grew up in this land, has transformed the barn in an accommodation that welcomes anyone who wants to live the past without giving up all the comforts.
Il Tiglio: The Tiglio is the tree that gives the name to our structure, is a long-lived plant that can reach up to a thousand years old. Since ancient times is the symbol of friendship and loyalty. Under the tree’s branches, there is this accommodation.
La Dispensa: This property born from the ancient barn, which subsequently became pantry: reflection angle, a refuge, a window to the sea.
Le Botti: Where it retains the result of the pressing work, there is an accommodation that can accommodate a family of up to 5 people. An integral part of the room is a terrace nestled in the woods.
La Cantina: It is an accommodation full of history. Born as a place to store wine, during the Second World War becomes a refuge for women and children in the area.
The Lapilli: The lapilli, small fragments of lava of our volcano, give their name to this accommodation indicating like fire and heat can be a source of reception that characterizes us.
Le Pigne: The forest is full of fruit that trees give us. The pine cones are among them the most characteristic, you can collect as many as you want and bring with you a souvenir, remember your host and that bears their name.
Le Felci: Among the lava rocks live ferns. There is so many in the forest and to them we wanted to dedicate this accommodation.
Outside guests have at their disposal a 1-hectare park with 150 olive trees, flowers, more than 300 varieties of plants and a children's playground.
From March to November it is available the outdoor pool, as well as a barbecue area. In the property of Casale Poggio del Tiglio it is also a riding school.

The sea is only 5 km to the beaches of Acireale, Riposto at 8 km, Fondachello and 10 km.
