“Go back in time by having direct contact with nature”: the didactic farm and farmhouse “Cà Buco” have this purpose for its guests.
The building is situated in the Monte Pastore hills, in the Bologna district. For each season, the farmhouse allows their guests to stay surrounded by nature.
The guests can discover the biologic enterprise’s secrets by learning about the variety of animals taken care of by Mrs. Paola Guidi, Cà Buco’s owner.
Paola is famous because she is a good cook, and she cooks natural, typical dishes. In Cà Buco you can taste snacks, lunches and buffet dinners, for groups as well. Farm didactic activities for adults and children offer games, wool production and cooking classes to learn some typical dishes such as biscuits and noodles. In the summer the farmhouse organizes picnics in the stables or in the open air: each guest brings from home a cloth to lay down outside while Paola will prepare delicious dishes with the farmhouse products.
There is an agreement with the guests to use water and electricity frugally and waste management.
There is a room organized for disabled people.
The farmhouse is heated by firewood.
Horses and dogs are accepted.
The building has a direct point of sale for biological products, vegetables and fruits. The lavender production produces a special oil, distilled water, pasta and delicious cakes.
For holders of the Slow Tourism Passport, there is a little package with typical products giving a “welcome”.
Cà Buco Agritourism was born in an ancient rural building completely renovated to give you a full immersion in nature during your stay and practicing different activities, such as: archery, judo, martial arts, mountain bike tours, labs, sack races, cart races, and environmental education for schools, youth groups and summer camps.
The farmhouse is ideal for ceremonies, sport and labs realizing a mix of nature, relaxation, well-being and enjoyment for everyone.
The seven rooms are comfortable and each of them has its own bath. There is also a 130-square-meter living room and a comfortable flat with a kitchen. It is possible to stay in the outside space with tents and campers.

The building, certified as an organic structure, realizes all handmade dishes thanks to raw material produced there. The farmhouse offers vegetables and prepares focacce, fresh pasta, cakes and bread thanks to the flour produced.
The kitchen is equipped with a mixer and centrifuge.
Breakfast could be both savory and sweet and the price is 5 euros per person.
The menu changes based upon the season. There is the opportunity to taste a vegetarian menu where smoothies and natural centrifuged are included.
It is possible to cook for groups with buffet service.
Guests with mono-portion seasonal dishes can taste them in the open air.
Savigno, famous for truffles, Marzabotto, Tolè famous for its fountains and the observatory, Rocca Malatina for its rocks.
