Well Done
Brotafalchi farmhouse developed from a dream of a better world made of love for the for tradition and nature that lasted almost 20 years. Here for decades organic agriculture has been practiced, also for the production of extra virgin olive oil produced with our trees, about one thousand. All animals that live with us are taken care with love and respect, and our small herd of pony is free-range and this helps us with the production of natural fertilized for our vegetable gardens. The whole business was built on sustainable criteria: we use renewable energy sources, we recycle and compost is produced. We adopt several precautions to save water while making drinkable our well’s water. We are completely energy self-sufficient. On our tables it is possible to find culinary Tuscan tradition: all the ingredients come from our gardens or from local organic businesses. Our lands line with Francigena way and we grant a discount to pilgrims carrying the credential. For the Slow Tourism passport holders we grant a 10% discount and a welcome drink.
We are a small farmstead in the countryside, and we are located at the crossroad of the most beautiful Tuscan art cities (Florence, Siena, Pisa and more), the ideal place to walk in nature near the Francigena way. Everything in our farmhouse was created to be sustainable and energy self-sufficient. We do things with love and our animals live free in big open spaces. Our place is for people who wish to restore their spirit and body with a stay capable of offering simple and precious things to live and taste, by immersing in the countryside and in the local tradition, and approaching our animals and tasting the products we produce.
We have two apartments
LISA apartment (2+2)
The house is located in the heart of our farmhouse, and it kept all the traditional architectural features and Tuscan furnishing. It is formed by 2 queen-size beds, a small living room, a kitchen and one bathroom, and two large terraces. It is energy self-sufficient and it equipped with Wi Fi and heating.
BEA apartment (2+2)
It is a house with garden and a colonnade. It is formed by two rooms, one with a queen-size bed and the other with a bunk bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. All its elements recall the traditional Tuscan countryside home style. It is energy self-sufficient. There is a common space for guests, a room to taste our culinary offers or to read a book. There is also a farmyard wit tables and shaded spots to relax, stay with people and to enjoy the all the good things that Brotofalchi offers.
People who wish to sit at our table will taste typical products of Tuscan hinterland. Everything we make is produced by us or by local organic businesses closely located to our farmhouse. We offer tastes of our culinary tradition and history, our olive oil and cold cuts. The cheese is produced by a neighboring enterprise “the doctor’s cheese” which keeps its goats in the wild to make organic non-pasteurized cheese.
We are located in the heart of Italy, and our farmhouse is extended on hills, woods and level ground. From here it is possible to easily reach the beautiful attractions of our region: Siena is 60 km away, Florence 40 km, Pisa 60 km, San Gimignano is 20 km, San Miniato 40 km and Volterra 40 km. The seaside is 60 km away, and we are located 2 km from Francigena way. The train station and public transportation are 6 km away.
