Borgo di Toppo Farmhouse has an organic production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Red Wine and Honey.
Guests can visit the oil mill and winery, with a tasting of the products.
The owners of the structure do the collection of vegetables in the organic garden
The Farmhouse is equipped with photovoltaic panels to produce electricity, use of the lake for the constructed wetlands for filtering and reuse of sewage and grey water, in addition to making the collection.
They also use environmentally friendly products for apartments (kitchen and toilet use).
For the holders of Slow Tourism Passport, it is reserved a 10% discount per stay.
Borgo di Toppo Farmhouse has a family management, is located in the Alta Valle del Tevere and the Valle del Nestore, a few kilometres from Tuscany in the north of Umbria. It is located in a hilly area about 500 mt. height above sea level with wonderful southern exposure surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and forests of chestnut trees.
There are 6 apartments (Quercia, Mulino, Fienile, Stalla, Essicatoio, Cerro/Castagno) all nicely finished with parquet and terracotta flooring, bathrooms have baths or showers, they are all equipped with kitchens with electric ovens and hotplates and green products for kitchen and toilet use. Some apartments have private gardens with tables and chairs and other terraces.
Inside the Borgo di Toppo there is also a room for tastings or for breakfasts that are made on guest’s request.
In addition to the garden of 10 hectares all fenced, guests are free to pick vegetables from the bio garden and the fruit from the trees, and if they want they can get distracted with sport fishing in the two lakes inside the garden of the Borgo. For sports enthusiasts there is the possibility to rent mountain bikes and make relaxing trips through the hills. Also in the scenic area, it is a swimming pool 7x14 mt. with parquet flooring, open from May to September.
