Arcate farmhouse is located in the province of Trapani, Marsala. The facility offers guided tours of the natural reserve of Stagnone and tours of the Egadi islands. The farmhouse respects the environment, it recycles wastes and it uses solar panels for hot water and also photovoltaic panels. Arcate prepares rustic appetizers with vegetables cultivated in the fields of the farmhouse. Some of the offered dishes are: busiate (local pasta) with tomatoes, eggplant, sausage and grits, borage and ricotta ravioli with creamed spinach and toasted almonds and veal nut with Nero d'avola.
Tourists with Slow Tourism Passport will receive a 10% discount on the price of the stay and they are welcome with a welcome gift.
Arcate is a family-run business, located at km 17.5 of State highway 115 that connects Marsala with Trapani (about half way). The facility consists of a central part where there are 11 bedrooms for guests and the restaurant with about 100 seats, there is a large and pleasant garden where people can relax and enjoy a beautiful swimming pool disinfected by electrolysis of salt water , and with a lower use of chemicals. There is a playground available for children and a small artificial lake where guest can practice sport fishing.
Breakfast is typically Italian with a mix of jams, croissants, fruit tarts, fruit juices, coffee, tea and much more. The typical menu offers: rustic house appetizers, two first courses to choose from that change every day, mixed grilled meat, fruit, homemade cake and drinks at the cost of € 25 per person for lunch and dinner.
The wine list includes only Sicilian wines.
The company produces olives to be eaten and to produce olive oil, and wine grapes, apart from some vegetables for domestic use.
From the farmhouse guests can reach the following tourist sites: Stagnone 4 km, Egadi (1 hour), Monte Erice (40km), San Vito lo Capo (60 km), the archaeological park of Segesta (30 km), the archaeological park Selinunte (45 km), the archaeological park of Agrigento (190 km), Palermo (110 km), Trapani (17 km), Marsala (13 km), Punic ship museum (15 km) and the historical Marsala wine cellars ( 15 km).
The farmhouse is equipped with 11 rooms, 9 double rooms or twin and two singles, all with private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, heating. Prices range from a minimum of € 30 per person up to a maximum of € 45 per person in B&B, including breakfast.
