Al- Marnich promotes and organizes upon requests mountain excursions with Alpine certified guides to observe local fauna and plant life (opportunity to cooperate with WWF). The farmhouse is engaged in the protection of the environment by utilizing paper and recycled products, by implementing waste recycling and by reducing energy usage. The staff speaks at least one foreign language. The farmhouse is located near Pro Arbora’s itineraries: Sponda Est del Lago di Como and Lungo il Lago di Como in Battello .
The farmhouse Al – Marnich offers its guests easy access to nature, woods and agricultural areas. Located in the mountains at 750 meters it is composed of 3 rural barns 70 meters from each other. It is equipped with 14 bedrooms with private bathrooms and 6 of them suit family needs (4 or 5 people maximum). Available to the guests are free WiFi, the use of laundry (15 Euros) and the possibility to bring pets (6 Euros).
Meals are prepared with local products. And especially: fresh pasta made from spelt, kamut and organic durum wheat.
Honey, jam made with small fruits, cheese, yogurt and small goat salami are home made. The approximate price for a typical menu of lunch or dinner is 30 – 32 €. It is possible to order a vegetarian menu. The wine list includes BIO D.O.C. from Oltre Po' Pavese
Como lake is only 8 km away. Nearby Lugano, Chiasso, Bellagio, Menaggio, Cernobbio and the area of Prealpi Lombarde.
