Well Done
B&B Baglio Spanò is a summer residence belonging to the noble house Montalto Spano, dating back to the eighteenth century and located in the middle of a feudal manor of 600 hectares, still cultivated today with vineyard in the respect of tradition. The B&B is the expression of geo-economic organization linked to the feud or large estates and therefore connected to the land ownership that supported the incomes of nobles and bourgeois. The facility was a large farm inhabited not only by the landowners: also the farmers who worked year-round or seasonally lived there. The ancient arches in tufa stone, the barrels used for aging of Marsala, the wine press for pressing grapes, the silos for fermentation, now turned into bathrooms, overlook the ancient and suggestive citrus grove, whose scents and colors gives uniqueness and exclusivity to the place. Here people can relax and enjoy wines and typical dishes, breakfast is served in the cellars, where guests are entertained by the sight of centuries-old citrus orchard in front, that emanates a sweet smell of orange blossom especially in April.
B&B Baglio Spanò is an old palace accessable through a private road, that crosses the whole countryside leading to a prestigious entrance surrounded by high walls erected all around the entire facility. The astonishing big courtyard separated by a portal, divides in two parts the manor houses and a rural warehouses that were once used for the collection and processing of grapes. The part of the B&B dedicated to the reception is on two levels. On the ground floor there are the cellars once used for the processing of grapes according to traditional methods, in a virtually unchanged scenery, where breakfast is served with local products today. Through a large liberty style hall visitors can access the first floor which ends in a balcony where guests enjoy the sea view. Our guests will benefit from a wonderful holiday, having at their disposal a peaceful place run by the rhythm of nature, and all the available amenities offered by a facility capable of offering high quality services. All rooms feature the Sicilian-style architecture and they are furnished with original late XIX century restored on-site furniture. They are provided with independent heating / air conditioning systems, and made unique by a precious floor decorated by hand, with different designs for each environment. The strong personality of each room inspired their names: "Grillo", "Inzolia", "Grecanico", which are the main grape varieties used for the production of Marsala wine that made these famous lands around the world.
At B&B Baglio Spanò guests can enjoy in total relax typical wines, dishes and breakfast is served in the cellars, by looking at the centuries-old citrus grove in front.
